This was the inner air cleaner lid used on the Mercury Cougars equipped with a 428 Ram Air Cleaner or 429 Cobra Jet Ram Air Cleaner assembly. This engine compartment lamp assembly includes lamp socket, bracket, mercury switch, and length of wire. A bit of investigation shows us that an inline fuse was used on the single wire and it has an amp rating of 7.5 amps.Replaces part # C9WY-15702-A

Ford calls this part a 'mask'. This clamps to the chromed lever and holds the socket and bulb that are attached to the neutral safety switch, which are the shifter indicator light for the floor shifter. Linkage arm that attaches to the windshield wiper motor that is unique to the 1969-70 Mercury Cougar and Ford Mustang. These are marked 9Z, among other things the slot is specifically indexed for the 69-70 Cougar and Mustang application. This is basically an installation kit that includes: linkage arm, flat bushing, wave washer, and nut. The order of installation is flat bushing, wave washer, linkage arm, and lastly the nut.

This rod bridges the gap between the trunk lock cylinder and trunk latch. It is held in place by the round spring that attaches to the back of the trunk lock cylinder. C9WY-6543283-A.1969 and 1970 Cougar only.

*NOTE - These knobs are NOT in the original Ford packaging, they were bought in bulk from a supplier who did not provide packaging. This style of knob was used on almost all Ford products starting in 1968 and continuing on through the late 1970's. The latest renditions in reproduction form are actually pretty good but for the purist these make a nice touch. Exact replacement inside door handle nut, trunk lock nut, and hood scoop nut. Same finish as originals. 10 of these are used to mount the 68-71 hood scoop found on the 68 428 CJ, 69-70 Eliminator, 69-70 428 Ram Air equipped Cougars and 71 GT and 429CJ. Two of these per door are used on the 69-70 inside door release. Two of of these nuts used to attach 1967-68 Cougar trunk locks.
