    Description

Replaces the original Ford part that features a # C7SB-17B732-A casting number. Basically correct for 1967 but works just as well on 1968 mirrors. These nuts are are not 100% correct for a 67 or 68, kind of a mixture of both.Very nice chrome quality at a reasonable price.

NOTE: Our mirror nut removal tool works & fits perfectly with the original mirror nuts. However, you will find the tool will NOT fit this reproduction nut properly, it will require that it be filed a little to fit. We still highly suggest you purchase our mirror nut tool, as the originals are often very difficult to remove and damage to your door panel will often be a result of trying to remove the nut with the wrong tool.

Ok...got the new piece, looked amazing 👏 bought a new tool to remove the original, worked perfectly! Went to install new ring and the new tool doesn't come close to fitting in the groves! I had to take a file and open all four groves! Not cool. I guess that's why there called REPRODUCTION PARTS! Finally, after some time and hand work it's good.

    Pros:

I believe that the WCCC website incorrectly omits this part as correct for the 1970 XR-7. After ordering part number 26150, which was listed for all 1970 cougars, I found it to be too large diameter and a different profile than mine. I returned it and ordered this part because it looked correct in the picture and when I received it...A perfect match. WCCC should correct this in the applications section of this part and the other part. It should state "Except 1970 XR-7" for part 26150 and it should say "Also for 70 XR-7" for this part...

Looks fantastic and fit perfectly. I also purchased the retaining nut tool and didn't have to modify it to tighten this piece on. I didn't tighten it to much more than snug, so perhaps that's why no modification was needed to get a good bite.

This fit great and looks really nice. It's not quite original since the tool doesn't quite fit it, but I'm not doing a concours car, so no problem.

    Little Mike Asked:
Does this part require a nut also? I have and original mirror but missing pieces needed to put the threaded toggle through door panel thanks

    Answer
    WCCC Admin Answered:

This part is a decorative threaded nut that threads onto the threaded toggle that slides thorugh the door panel. You will want to use this nut in conjunction with the indexed washer for the remote mirror: SKU # 26144 .

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

    • Some chemicals in motor vehicle parts are on the Proposition 65 list because they can cause cancer and/or birth defects or other reproductive harm.
    • When purchasing USED or NOS items, we do not know if listed chemicals are present in these products.
    • This product is known to contain the following listed chemicals:
WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...
