    Description

This H5006 bulb is the closest Halogen Reproduction of the original FoMoCo headlights that we carry. This bulb has the number 2 at twelve o'clock (to indicate its position in your grille) just like the original, and the FoMoCo logo is actually formed into the glass rather that being etched onto it, as is on some other repros. This high / lo beam is definitely going to be brighter than your original dim bulbs.

Also note: Other than Cougars, only the 1969 Mustang used these bulbs.

Don't forget that you need to install a headlight relay kit when you install Halogen bulbs! Get em here:

I installed these as well as the high-beams and the relay kit on 5/22/2015. One of these low beams was DOA. WCCC sent out a replacement. Then on 10/20/2016, after putting 3,033 miles on the car (rarely at night) one of these low beams burned out. I replaced it with a locally sourced halogen bulb. Then on 6/14/2017, the other low beam burned out, after 5,476 miles since installation. They look good, but don't last.

These bulbs look great with the formed FoMoCo logo, and they're a massive improvement over incandescent. A nice safety and usability upgrade if you're going to drive your Cougar at night (even if only occasionally). And the headlight relays needed to use the halogen bulbs are easily removed later (if you don't actually screw them down to the car) so if a future owner prefers authenticity over functionality/safety, it's easy to switch back to incandescent.

However, one of the bulbs I received only worked on high beam, not on low. Had to send it back for replacement.

Why am I being warned about potential exposure to chemicals in motor vehicle parts?

WCCC hooked me up with an original glove box cable and the correct screws WITH shoulders for my glove box. Their listing for these screws explains that the original screws have a shoulder for the cable and most people put in the wrong screws--which...
