This is the stainless steel trim for the front of the boot that attaches to the back side of the back seat in a 1969 or 1970 Cougar and Stang. This is a very hard part to come by in good shape. We claim that in time every nut bolt and clip will be documented on this site! Here is yet another tiny little, one year only trivial part that only the most detailed enthusiast will even care about. This little part is designed to space the column cover away from the metal lower dash so as to prevent dash squeaks. They are left natural, never painted (the one shown has surface rust). Two are required per car, they are sold individually. These little parts are often missing and of course not...

Many of our customers have asked and requested how we clean and detail our parts. We use a combination of items, mostly fine steel wool and elbow grease. Cleans haze, crud, and years of oxidation and water spots from glass, aluminum, chrome, and rubber. 16 individual pads in a package.

This is a one year only, Cougar only part. I do not care what they told you down at the "Mustang Mega Barn", Cougar is different as it has mounting holes at the top and Mustang does not. The Mustang cover has no mounting holes at the top and resembles the 1970 cover. This nice used original part will have no broken tabs as seen on our grade 'B' version. This grade 'A' part will include two metal clip-on spacers as shown. 1970 is the only year 69-73 that Mustang and Cougar column covers interchange. You will need to paint this part to match your interior.

This used original part will have a broken tab so you will have to use a over-sized washer or some other clever means of properly attaching it to the underside of your dash. Quality reproduction lower column cover for the 69 Cougar.  Grommet sold separate. NOTE* This is not a Mustang part, the Mustang version is similar but has no upper mounting holes.

This is the trim piece the goes across the top on the inside of the windshield. This piece will need to be sand blasted and repainted. Many people have chromed these, but from the factory they were painted satin silver.Ford Part #: C9ZZ-7603606-B
