We are excited to bring these new reproduction assemblies for the backup lights for the 1969 and 1970 Mercury Cougar to the market. Includes a pair of bezels with lenses and gaskets. The sockets and pigtails are not included so you will need to gently remove your originals and install them in these bezels.

The chrome finish is brilliant and mirror smooth. There are no polishing marks like evident on so many of the NOS bezels we see.
The lenses have a clear look to them and fit well into the bezels. They do come with the correct SAE-R and 69CR markings. The mounting screws are not included.
There are no Ford casting numbers on the back side. The original passenger side would have had a casting number of C9WB-15515-B and the driver side would use a C9WB-15A509-B engineering number.
The lens on the right is a NOS frosted lens, the one on the left is the reproduction. We did determine that the reproduction lenses will fit in the original bezels but a NOS lens will not fit in these new reproduction bezels without being filed on the edge a little.
The bottom light is a re-chromed original as evidenced by the original light socket.
Here is the new bezel installed on an original 1970 quarter panel extension.
The below comparison pictures are of our original rechromed bezel fit into the same extension. Our opinion is that these parts while not 100% correct are a very, very good value for the money and we are quite sure we will be seeing them on many show quality Cougars in the future.
