This hard plastic black cover, or shield, attaches just below the radiator and protects the headlight vacuum hoses that attach to the left and right headlight door actuators. New black screws for attaching the headlight doors to all 1967-68 Mercury Cougars. Four screws needed per side for a total of 8 per car. We have found 3 different styles of separate screws that were used during the 1967-68 model run, San Jose and Dearborn may have accounted for a difference.
